I was amused by the
BBC story
of Hong Kong people being non-plussed by China's recent manned
space flight, quite rightly so, when
Yuri Gagarin
achieved a similar feat 42 years ago.
Patriotism of this order has no place in a modern world, and
even the propaganda fed Chinese public appear to emerging from this
cold-War era nonsense, good for them.
The BBC story has got some interesting links though,
Astronautix
is a superb resource, I could lose myself for days reading the information
in there. From
A-10
rocket engine to the
ZY
spacecraft, it's got the lot!
As part of my
category fiddling,
here are a few of my posts which ought to be in the
blogging/adverts
category, but for various reasons are not.
There are a number of primary problems with categorising
posts to a blog, even if you're as slack and vague
about choosing a category as I am (yes, I know I ought
to use some standard that I don't know, but life is
short).
One of these problems is where you throw something
into a reasonably general and catch-all category such as
blogging
only to find that you've made enough posts on the
subject to justify either moving it to an entirely
different category or a sub-category.
However
pyblosxom
doesn't really support moving of posts between
categories or having posts in multiple categories,
I could probably do some mod_rewrite magic, but
that would be clumsy and difficult to maintain
long term, so I'm adding a few "see also"
posts in the appropriate categories to attempt to
indirectly resolve the problem.
