I've
taken the plunge and bought a Nokia 6680
(well two actually, but that's another story). Given that this seems to be
the phone of the moment I'm going to be posting a few items about my
discoveries with it over the next few weeks. All of these will be in
this new topic:
mobile/Nokia6680
Before anyone gets too excited, I've had the phone a month now, and it's good, it's fast, but hey it's only a phone!
Plus ça change, etc...
Another flat(ish) week, teetering around a half kilo loss, but given that's only a pint of water that's hardly here or there. Then again given the number of pints in the last week, I'm quite happy to stay level.
Smart Phones and Dumb Footballers?
So Nokia and Symbian smart phone sales are booming, and even the Americans finally get a chance to buy a reasonably priced - albeit cut-down - version of Nokia's flagship model.
It seems like the mobile tech bandwagon is rolling too swiftly for David Beckham. I'm sure he can't be as stupid as he sounds, but Mr and Mrs Beckham have been known for a while as Thick and Thin...
Festival season is in full flow here in Whitstable, the Kent Beer Festival started yesterday (pics later hopefully) in nearby Canterbury, whilst the annual Oyster Festival starts tomorrow, along with the regatta.
Busy times.
Another flat week, given my social calendar this week that's as good as can be expected, next week's unlikely to be good either.
Still 2kg down, 11 to go.
Late report this time, and nothing to report, the expected 1kg loss didn't happen and I ended up level.
Not too surprising given that I'd ramped up the exercise and the food/booze intake a bit, but still a bit dispiriting.

There doesn't seem to be week that goes by without me plugging some new venture by Ewan Spence, I'm going to trump that this week with four thngs.
First off, as part of his goal of displacing some tone-deaf actor as number one Ewan on Google, he's moved his blog to the eponymous EwanSpence.com All the usual ramblings, mispellings and general lunacy, and now with a shiny new url and a spiffy WordPress template.
Meme generator: Long url of the week has to be this viral eBay auction for a collector's edition of a British newspaper, currently it's a bargain, I can see it ramping up swiftly though.
Grunts, groans and squeals: Following on from Darla, Ewan and Alfie have launched Orgasmatones (work safe site, until you listen to the samples). Can you imagine a young woman in the throes of passion squealing your name as a ringtone? Well that's their product, the ultimate personalised ringtone, and far less embarassing than Nokia Tune. I'm not sure I'd have one (I've some raucous trad jazz as a ring tone), but if you hear one livening up your daily commute you now know who to blame. What better ringtone for a shagphone?
Finally (does Ewan ever sleep?), he's given Fun-1 a makeover, slinkier than a sharknose Ferrari, the new look WordPress-based Fun-1 makes the old design look like an Andrea Moda design. Bye-bye MT, hello fast-lane!
Another week, another kilo, 2 down 11 to go.
Not the hoped for 2kg, but I'm still pretty pleased, and the interruptions to the programme last week didn't throw things out too much.
As I'm only 3 days from the next end-of-week, I know I'm not going to hit a 2kg target for this week, but I'm heading for yet another kilo, maybe one and a half.
The Excel charts are reporting an overall trend of 1.1kg loss, so I guess the trend is starting to tip onto the downslope now.
