Former band of the week Hoof are playing on the party/nightclub boat Patricia in Stockholm on Thursday 1st December. Also prospective band of the week (as soon as I write it up) The Revolutions are playing London's Brixton Telegraph this coming Sunday (27th November).
Two great bands, and two potentially brilliant gigs and I don't think I'm going to be able to make either. If you get to one, please write it up somewhere!
The Mobile Monday phenomenon has finally reached London with the first meeting tonight at Vodafone’s offices in the Strand.
The evening’s theme is “bridging the digital and physical worlds”. Loads of the great and good of the UK’s mobile scene ought to be attending, Tom, Rafe, Martin and popular Yahoo-ligans Russ and Christian are just a few of the names. It all ought to be very interesting.
I’m meeting up with Martin just before MoMo for a traditional swift half in the Coal Hole, Martin’s going to be off to Brighton later tonight, I wonder if he’ll manage to revisit his infamous Wi-Fi train journey on the WiMax train?

Ewan’s Edinburgh Fringe Podcast on The Podcast Network was great listening over the summer, 19 shows over a manic three week period. A vital guide to the best shows if you were at the Fringe, and a lovely way to feel connected if you couldn’t get to Edinburgh. Reviews, interviews and ad-hoc lunacy encapsulated the whole event on your iPod.
The fact that the Edinburgh Fringe Podcast eclipsed nearly all other Fringe coverage on Google probably indicates just how highly Ewan and the TPN team were appreciated and loved by other netizens.
A nomination for this year’s Scottish BAFTA awards in the Best Interactive Media category is really the icing on the cake. Where next? An award for discovering great new bands on the TPN Rock Show?
