I stumbled across some great pictures of Whitstable the other day on Words of Waldman.
These are the sort of views I see every day leaving home in the morning for the commute into town, come the Spring I'll be able to see the outside world in the evening again too! One things that seems common to many Whitstable photos is that they're frequently taken in the early evening, the light at this time of day (and also in the early morning) is rather magical. I can't believe this effect is unique to Whitstable perhaps it's just the way the eye works at slightly lower light levels.
A little Feedster searching has turned up some other gems; Everyday Stranger's Bear on the seawall, Geraldine Curtis's Whitstable collection, and Hydragenics Whitstable galleries from April 2002 and June 2003.
Roll on the summer, I can't wait to see sunny (and warm) beaches again, and those glorious sunsets.
