At a quick glance, this phone is just a non-3G Nokia N70 with a fancy paintjob, and very slightly revised software. There seem to be no major differences between this and the N70-5. Frankly, as a S60 version 2 phone without 3G it is at best a mid-range device. Maybe it would suffice as an upgrade from a Nokia 7610, but at the time of the N72's release (June 2006) the better equipped N70 is a year old. Specification summary:
- 2.0 megapixel camera
- EDGE / GPRS / GSM
- Style / fashion focused
- S60 2nd Edition
- Music Player and FM Radio (Visual Radio)
- Shipping from June 2006
- Flickr uploading software - Also available for N70 and N90
Should you choose this phone? Not unless you live in an area with no 3G coverage, and you're desperately trying to avoid S60 version 3. The Nokia N73 or Nokia N80 look like better alternatives.
There are plenty of other Specific Phones in the S60, Nokia Eseries and Nokia Nseries ranges.
