Samsung SGH-D720

Go outside on a cold day, exhale, what do you see? Vapour...

Well, Vapour Ware is exactly what I thought this phone was (after all the D700 and D710 never hit the shops), but apparently it's actually shipping now (Nov 2005). I've not seen it on the streets or found out who is carrying it yet, but I'm very pleased to see yet another manufacturer selling Series 60 phones.

This is Samsung's third Series 60 phone, a Nokia 7650 style slider rather like the previous Samsung D710, and unlike the earlier flippy-flappy Samsung D700.

Rafe of All About Series 60 managed a preview of the D720 at 3GSM in February 2005, and InfoSync also managed a brief play with the D720 at 3GSM and CeBit. Even better though, Antti of S60.com has produced an in-depth D720 review, and frankly it looks pretty cute, far less clunky than the Nokia 7650!
